Exercise week 3
So this was based off of cylindrical modeling and using only one cylinder mesh we were to edit it and make objects out of the single cylinder by extruding and cutting and scaling to get the object we wanted in my case I chose to make a wine bottle and a cup.
Process
I add a cylinder mesh and adjust its dimensions and position to form the base of the cup. Here's where the magic of extrusion comes into play. With a few clicks, I extrude the top face of the cylinder to create the body of the cup. By scaling and manipulating the newly formed geometry, I mold it to my desired shape. It's like working with virtual clay.
Now that my cup is taking shape, it's time to tackle the wine bottle. I duplicate the original cylinder and resize it to represent the bottle's base. With a few more extrusions, I elongate the cylinder to form the bottle's body. I pay close attention to the proportions, ensuring that it looks sleek and realistic.
To add a touch of refinement, I make use of loop cuts to create sharper edges and define the contours of the cup and bottle. This step adds that extra level of detail, making the models pop.
